Accounting Cost Controlling Analyst

Job Summary

Provides monthly financial analysis, variance analysis and reporting. Prepares operating expense budgeting, forecasting, and reporting process. Develops models for trending and forecasting to improve the accuracy of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Diagnostics’ Quality System.
  2. Prepare and analyze expenses to budget by cost centers for Senior Management.
  3. Provides weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports to Senior Management.
  4. Prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly and year-end expense journal entries and account reconciliations.
  5. Prepares and reviews annual budget, quarterly sales forecasts, and variance reporting.
  6. Analyze historical results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and makes recommendations for future models.
  7. Prepares budget and month-end financial reporting package.
  8. Develops and improves budget/forecasting models, templates, and schedules.
  9. Analyzes and validates data contained in the corporate data warehouse.
  10. Continuously drives budget/forecast accuracy improvements.
  11. Identifies and measures key metrics that drive business performance.
  12. Increase productivity by leveraging BI tools and develops automated reporting/forecasting tools.
  13. Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed, delivering data-based insights that drive decisions.
  14. Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Training and Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.      

 

Experience

3+ years’ experience in the accounting or finance field.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

ERP experience, SAP preferred.

CRM, Sales Force preferred.

BI tools, Tableau preferred.

 

Physical Requirements

Must be able to safely lift boxes of documents weighing approximately 50lbs.
