About the position 

As a Field Service Engineer you will follow and report Technical Service activities according procedures given. You will maintain installed base operations through preventive and corrective maintenance to secure installed base uptime and customer satisfaction.

In this position you will be traveling and most of the time be at the site of customers. You will be given the necessary training needed within both the technical instruments as well as IT-solutions.

For this position it is mandatory that you have a driver’s license (B) and that you are fluent in both the Norwegian and English language.


Main Accountabilities

  • Technical service of instruments for defined segments and regions – Primarily on defined region, secondarily co-operation in whole Nordic.
  • Ability to plan services without direct supervision, co-planning with colleagues and outsourced partners.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Application teams – to report customer requests, questions and suggestions to responsible departments.
  • Control and report the installed base changes.
  • Keep the minimum local stock level on spare parts, reporting stock transitions for Finance.
  • To report Technical services and activities according to administrative duties to Field Service Manager and to follow/update quality records.
  • To participate in weekend support via on-call and remote connection support.


Studies-Experience, Skills and Qualifications:


  • Technical engineer or equivalent  technical graduation.
  • Awareness of operation in laboratory circumstances.
  • At least 2 years of experience on servicing and maintaining equipment, it is strongly meritorious if you are experienced within laboratory equipment.
