This role is an individual contributor role responsible to review, validate, and approve financial deals for the North America division of the company. This role will manage the lease portfolio profitability and compliance. Provide financial analysis to support IDN/GPO and all other customer contract negotiations. Supports commercial operations and field sales with data and reporting needs for managing contracts.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Diagnostics’ Quality System.
Needs to be able to make necessary judgment calls based on business and legal terms where they impact the operational and profitability targets to approve and advance deal negotiations.
Provide financial analysis to support IDN/GPO and site customer contract negotiations.
Review and approve the financial profitability of instrument lease agreements
Ensure the profitability of the contract portfolio is being achieved.
Assist with contract modifications including customer contracts that are no longer financially compliant
Manage and approve customer trade-in and impact for new contract values.
Reconcile lease accounting schedules.
Develop contract profitability benchmarking by region, territory, IDN, GPO, and customer level, etc.
Provide daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting as defined by the business.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
Work with the Sales and CSO organizations to include service/maintenance into the negotiated contracts.
Prepares lease and contract profitability dashboards with key metrics and performance indicators for sales team and sales leaders.
Analyze historical results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and design financial models.
Work closely with the contracts and Sales team to help drive contract compliance.
Train sales team on the company leasing options and requirements.
Support new product launches / new initiatives from the contract pricing modeling and simulation.
Supports efforts to improve data in the various business systems (CRM, SAP, DW, etc.).
Continuously drives reporting accuracy improvements.
Identifies and measures key metrics that drive business performance.
Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed, delivering data-based insights that drive decisions.
Assist with internal and external audits as required.
Prepare necessary revenue recognition journal entries.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned by Director, Sr. Director or CFO.
Training and Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems. Master’s Degree preferred
5+ years’ experience in the accounting or finance field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
ERP experience, SAP preferred.
CRM, Sales Force preferred.
BI tools, Tableau preferred.
Must be able to safely lift boxes of documents weighing approximately 50lbs.
