Sr Director Field Service Operations

Position Summary:

Provide strategic direction and leadership to a field service team / customer support organization so as to ensure that optimal customer support is provided within established regulatory and fiscal requirements.


Main Accountabilities:

  • Establish the vision and lead a multi-functional Customer Facing Support Services organization to achieve the corporate goal of satisfied and loyal  bioMerieux customers.
  • Establish and achieve service revenue targets in keeping with the overall bioMerieux revenue growth strategy.
  • Establish and achieve an operating budget in keeping with service objectives and profitability targets.
  • Establish and maintain through specific training and education opportunities a competent workforce dedicated to providing a high level of customer support.
  • Foster leadership development within the Field Service management team so as to provide a solid base on which to build a world class service organization that supports sales efforts and targets.


Studies and Experience:

  • Minimal requirement is a four-year degree in life sciences, engineering or business.  Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience preferred

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent and effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the principles and practices of laboratory medicine.
  • Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of finance and cost based accounting.
  • Broad knowledge and practical experience in project management, personnel development and leadership.
  • Broad knowledge of Field Service practice and principles.
