Logistics coordinator

 

Primary purpose:

Monitoring stock levels & securing the replenishment of our reagents, spares, and instruments, in Greece, in order to ensure On-Time-In-Full deliveries to our public health customers.

In a context of growing business and new ERP deployment (SAP), looking for a logistics professional enthusiastic for enhancing our supply chain flows, from our regional warehouse located in France, to availability to customers, in partnership with our 3rd-Party for Warehouse & Shipping.

 

Main challenge :

Restore an acceptable OTIF for Greek domestic marketing (today very poor), rebuild an efficient supply chain after SAP deployment end 2020. Restore confidence with sales & marketing teams, to help meet business expectations

 

Main daily accountabilities :

  • Daily monitoring of stock levels & replenishments from French hub, to identify any stock level alerts that could hinder our capacity to deliver customers on-time-in-full

  • Mitigate daily issues that occur on the logistics chain & put at risk our customer commitment, by finding short-term solutions, working on root-causes

  • Coordinate interface with our 3rd-Party-Logistics partner in charge of Warehouse & Shipping:

    • Ensure alignment of our objectives

    • Ensure day-to-day accuracy and alignment of inventory interfaces

    • Monitoring of daily electronic interfaces

    • Performance follow-up

    • Logistics complaints monitoring

  • Master data monitoring for systems optimization (supply parameters for replenishment, for customer deliveries…)

  • Specific flows coordination: specific needs from customers, exports to other countries

 

And also, some projects to develop our supply chain activities:

  • Develop supply chain services offer, in alignment with corporate & regional partners, & with specific inputs from Greek business

  • Optimisation of regional flows

  • Launches & discontinuations of portfolio with sales & marketing

  • Carbon footprint reduction

  • Continuous improvement of our flows & organization

  • Coordination of local supply chain activities

 

Main interactions:

  • BioMerieux International HUB in France

  • Third Party responsible for warehousing & shipping for Greek customers, to secure interfaces, follow-up performance

  • Sales administration team to support ability to deliver customers on-time

  • Demand manager in charge of collecting sales forecasts

  • Sales & Marketing department, Finance department

 

Following skills would be necessary for success in this position:

  • Customer-orientation, to understand what are the market needs & looking to respond efficiently

  • Enthusiasm for logistics matters, having a supply chain culture

  • At-ease in an environment where every day is different, able to cope with unexpected events arising on the supply chain, and quickly react, for the sake of customer satisfaction & public health

  • Strong communication skills to proactively inform adequate stakeholders, when issues are arising

  • Networking skills, to build strong relationships with our internal supply chain partners (regional hub, international transport team,…) and external third-party-logistics for warehousing & shipping

  • Strong analytical skills to investigate in-depth & identify where we may have issues & find their root-causes

  • Solution-oriented, to continuously propose optimization of supply chain

  • Action oriented, to roll-out corrective actions

  • Will evolve in an international environment 

  • Very good English level & Microsoft office (excel)
