Reporting to Vice President BioFire EME, the BioFire Marketing Manager EME Decentralized Testing/POC will be responsible for designing and implementing the marketing strategy for their portfolio/products/segments in order to maximize the EME business results (revenue, margin, contribution, customer satisfaction) within the Company guidelines and strategy respect. The BioFire Marketing Manager EME Decentralized Testing/POC will be the primary contact  for the clusters / national Marketing teams and will interface with the Global Marketing team.


What will your responsibilities be within bioMérieux?

Main accountabilities include:

  • Elaborate EME marketing strategy and plans to achieve territory revenue and profits by managing his/her portfolio marketing mix, based on a thorough knowledge of the related product lines and targeted markets.
  • Support the most adequate marketing plan execution to achieve business objectives within the region, thru go to market aligned process.
  • Build  / consolidate national & regional market data’s and customer insights (maturity, competition, regulation…). Provide conclusions & recommendations and share with all involved internal stakeholders within product range of responsibility, primarily with Global marketing Dept, to support portfolio strategic decisions.
  • Animate the EME BioFire marketing community (information sharing, best practices, identifying referents for segments / solutions… training, competencies) and support all initiatives and transverses projects implementation.
  • Contribute to the elaboration of the EME budget and Long Range Plan.
  • Act as the expert for a specific market segment (POC, Decentralized Testing)
  • Interact, support and influence regional/local organizations. Additionally work with key opinion leaders on key initiatives.

Who are you?

Studies and Experience:

  • Post-graduate degree in Science 
  • At least 10 years of experience in a sales or marketing environment (in healthcare or ideally IVD environments)
  • Strong experience in molecular Point of Care (POC) testing with a proven track record required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Team spirit and customer oriented ; experienced in multicultural environment. Must thrive working cross-functionally in a matrix structure.
  • Demonstrate leadership through influence. Actively promote knowledge sharing with local teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong relationships
  • Ability to develop and manage key relationships with KOL and organizations. Mobility (depending on the segment you are working on, between 25% to > 50%)
  • Fluent in English and a local language


This position is open to any location within EME with travel expected.
