Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the Job:
Under the supervision of the Regional Ethics and Compliance Officer, provide compliance expertise and guidance to Commercial business partners to enable decision-making that stays within ethical boundaries while still optimizing business performance.


Main Accountabilities:

  •  Advocate and develop a strong compliance culture within the business on a day-to-day basis
  •  Provide day-to-day support, advice and problem-solving expertise to ensure business operations are conducted in full compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
  •  Provide compliance guidance and support on business projects with significant compliance implications
  •  Developing, reviewing, and editing compliance policies relevant to commercial operations
  •  Provide regular training and coaching on ethics and compliance matters to leaders and employees, help for the regionally-specific compliance training
  •  Monitor the external environment and recommend improvements for compliance program
  •  Participate in strategic planning for applicable organizational activities, considering compliance issues up-front

 

Studies and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior in-house legal or compliance experience
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in legal or ethics and compliance with experience in the medical device, biotech, or healthcare industry strongly preferred

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Unquestionable ethics and integrity, with a clear understanding of, and adherence to, ethical principles, organization values, code of conduct, policies, etc.
  • Highly consultative and partnership-oriented in approach
  • Ability to interact and collaborate autonomously with business clients and other stakeholders at all levels across the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and think critically to make sound recommendations / solutions
  • Knowledge of laws, codes, and regulations surrounding marketing to health care professionals
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
