The Events Specialist plans and executes employee events including parties, benefit fairs, blood drives, charitable events, and service award banquets. Coordinates tasks associated with events planning offered through Human Resources.  

Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Performs all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Diagnostics’ Quality System.
  2. Creates, and implements annual plan of employee events and activities. Determines venue, vendors, agenda, theme and food for each event. Coordinates with external vendors.
  3. Assists with bioMerieux corporate-driven events and activities for BioFire Diagnostics.
  4. Assists with establishing event dates, securing presenters, extending invitations, sourcing locations, and preparing materials.
  5. Maintains inventory of all HR supplies/materials used for events.
  6. Helps facilitate new employee orientation and other onboarding events (Ignite) as needed.
  7. Works within established timelines.
  8. Creates and manages events budgets.
  9. Supports special projects as requested.

Qualifications

Training & Education:  Associate's degree or higher.  Directly related experience may be substituted for education.

Experience:  2+ years of planning and executing events.
Preferred Experience: Event planning in a corporate setting. Experience working with third-party vendors and presenting to adult audiences. Experience working in HR.

Physical Requirements:  Must be able to move up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
