Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager leads the team to ensure internal and external customer service targets are met through execution of logistics, planning and/or procurement activities.  In this role, you will develop and implement continuous improvement in departmental efficiencies.  Manages resource allocation; recruits, trains, evaluates, and develops supply chain staff using active listening and communication to ensure engaged team members.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the overall planning, controlling, and managing of Instrument and Reagent Materials for St. Louis Supply Chain.
  2. Lead group to acquire top service rate at the best cost to monitor inventory levels and accuracy to optimize fine scheduling.
  3. Focus on operations and tactical levels including hours, days, weeks, months, quarters.
  4. Dimension, recruit, train, evaluate and develop the Supply Chain team.
  5. Controls the activity reporting through Key Performance Indicators.
  6. Propose organization improvements and contribute to the site Continuous Improvement and evolution of Supply Chain best practices.
  7. Maintain and ensure accurate data in Information Systems at all times.
  8. Ensure regulatory, QMS and HSE compliance.

 

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business/Material Management/Purchasing/Science.
  2. 5+ years of relevant operational experience in manufacturing, or logistics, or planning with proven ability to lead others.
  3. Must have working knowledge of ISO, CGMP and MRP manufacturing principles.
  4. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including verbal and written skills.
  5. Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Package.
  6. Demonstrated ability to handle a variety of Supply Chain topics and issues.
  7. Demonstrated ability to handle a high workload.
  8. Certification by APICS or ISM (NAPM) is desired.
