Position Summary:

A self motivated individual who will work closely with the system Validation Manager, Program Managers, Engineering, Production, and Quality Assurance to plan, write, and edit verification and validation documentation, standard operating procedures, work instructions, technical notes, and study protocols and reports that will be created for customer and internal use. Must be able to research science related topics from coworkers, the internet, etc. for projects. Must be very familiar with MSWord and Excel. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field. Experience in scientific writing with 2-6 years experience in project management, engineering, or science related field.

 

Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire’s Quality System.
  • Writes a variety of verifications, validations, study protocols, reports, technical notes, SOPs and/or WIDs for documentation for a wide range of uses.
  • Work with others in the development of verifications, validations, study protocols, reports, technical notes, SOPs and/or WIDs for documentation for a wide range of uses.
  • Reviews materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, and content.
  • Maintains records of work and revisions.
  • Interfaces with multiple product managers and other associates to ensure information, format, copy tone and style are consistent with quality procedure, scientific application, company image and current marketing campaign.
  • May include minimal laboratory work as needed to support validation workload.

 

Qualifications

Training and Education: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, biology, engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: 2-6 years’ experience.
  • Experience in scientific writing with 2-6 years
  • experience in project management, engineering, or science field
  • Must be familiar with MSWord and Excel.
  • Skills: Personable with attention to detail.
