The Management Information Systems (IS) is fully involved in bioMérieux’s digital transformation strategy  worldwide. Our IS teams are in charge of key projects such as the global deployment of our Salesforce CRM solution, SAP and IoT (Internet of Things). They also lead “proofs of concept” related to innovative services with high added value for bioMérieux’s activities. They partner with specialized stakeholders on reference technologies (SAP HANA,, Amazon Web Services, SAP Cloud Platform or Microsoft Office 365) to contribute to the constant improvement of bioMérieux’s services.

We are looking for a Field System Engineer, who will be servicing, installing, repairing and updating bioMérieux instruments and systems to the customers within North Africa. She/he will work at our customer sites as required, travelling extensively within North Africa. This role involves a high level of weekly travel across the area - approximately 50% to 70% of the time - including frequent overnight stays. The ideal candidate will be based in Algeria.


What will be your mission?


  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and update our products at client sites as needed
  • Consult with customers regarding product operation, product optimization, technical troubleshooting and usage training
  • Organize the activity : maintenance, response timed, administrative management (field reports memo, business expenses, field reports memo, leaves agenda, activity reports…),
  • Manage spare parts inventory in relation with the Specialist, in accordance with the recommendations
  • Negotiate and sale the maintenance contracts to private labs, hospitals or industry
  • Mentor and train the new comers or colleague in charge of a new system
  • Fully autonomous, proactive, be a force for bringing forward proposals and reinforce manager’s message
  • Contribute to the action plan definition to the solving of breakdown with SE or specialist, pilot transversal mission on the long run
  • Bring technical support to colleagues on systems on which he/she has strong experience and competence
  • Be able to manage missions with other subsidiaries or distributors


Who are you?


Typical Studies-Experience, Skills and Qualifications:


  • High School diploma with 3 to 5 years studies, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree
  • Experience minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Electronics/IT /Medical Devices Maintenance
  • Customer Service acumen, analytical mindset, availability, people agility
  • Ability to solve complex problems thanks to proven technical experience , in full autonomy
  • Fluent in French, English will be plus.
