What will be your responsibilities at bioMérieux?



Due to expansion of the Lab efficiency team, we are looking for another Laboratory consultant to join the team to support the sales process as a technical specialist and consultant for workflow analysis using recognised LEAN methodologies in line with customer needs to optimise their workflow and propose bioMérieux solutions.


Your main responsibilities will be:


  • Lab consultant on our complex installations to demonstrate the value of the bioMérieux offer in close collaboration with the commercial team ( e.g blood culture,centralized/decentralized, ID/AST  workflow & MYLA).
  • Analyse customer needs and develop the most suitable workflow solution including molecular support ( e.g argene connect) showing the value of our proposal.
  • Set and organize pre sales demonstration workshops for the lab efficiency and MYLA solutions
  • Identify and convince decision makes and influencers, key opinion leaders (KOLs) of the superior workflow and medical value of bioMerieux solutions
  • Create a network and full understanding of Lab efficiency solutions within each sales territory, in collaboration with the account manager, to increase consumption of the existing installed base and explore for new potential.
  • Consolidate and ensures consistency of technical data
  • Build and present product demos tailored to Customer needs
  • Work together with the Lab Efficiency Business Developer to build the commercial offer in terms of return on investment and  TVO approach.
  • Design and support the control and implementation of bioMérieux’s lab efficiency installations working closely with the Lab Efficiency Business Manager  and IT Specialist
  • Organise rapid improvement events as required for bioMérieux product ranges


Who are you? 


  • Bachelor of Science required
  • Lean six sigma black belt or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential (Laboratory consultancy training will be provided if required)
  • Commercial experience in vitro diagnostic (IVD) business.
  • Knowledge of the bioMérieux offer and the competing offer.

This role will be mainly field based so a driving license is essential.
