We are looking for a Global Cell & Gene Therapy Business Development Manager who will work and grow within the Healthcare Business department for our Industry unit and will report to the Advanced Therapy Medicinal Product (ATMP) Director within a growing team.

Your main role will be to grow the sales organization’s ability to establish and develop long term relationships with ATMP accounts such as, private or publicly funding companies, CDMO, and start-ups.


What will be your mission?


  • Act as a Global Cell & Gene Therapy Business Development Manager (BDM) supporting local/ regional sales teams, Strategic Account teams, as well as global Marketing in go to market (G2M) efforts and the selling of ATMP products.

  • Develop ATMP segment specific sales knowledge and lead training/information exchange between partners such as Accellix and bioMérieux sales resources.

  • Lead quarterly forecasting efforts for Accellix products and summarize intelligence from Accellix product sales efforts.

  • Coordinate with Accellix to ensure resolution of issues that could impact G2M and sales activities of Accellix products and services.

  • Reach out and build relationships with key ATMP institutions/hubs to build bioMérieux presence in the ATMP space.

  • Support ATMP internal initiatives including the rollout of local Cell & Gene Therapy BDMs & Advisors roles in different geographies.

  • Champion & disseminate Strategic Accounts value-based selling techniques to the local & regional sales teams for ATMP products.

  • Directly plan for & participate in client meetings at conferences or other activities, either alone or in conjunction with other bioMérieux sales teams to sell ATMP products and services.

  • Manage dotted line relationship to Local Cell & Gene Therapy BDMs to spread best practices, target key customers and act on marketing intelligence from the Global ATMP Team.

  • Opportunistically Function as a Cell & Gene Therapy BDM for geographies lacking a Local/Regional Cell & Gene Therapy BDM when needed.


Who are you?


  • Scientific or business degree with a background in biology and ideally knowledge of cellular immunology or cell therapies with microbiology,

  • From 3 to 5 years of experience in the ATMP/cell & gene therapy field,

  • Experience in business-to-business and/or corporate account sales experience with strong understanding & integration of the ATMP selling process and contract management,

  • Experience in CDMOs, hospital, clinical, and/or academic center settings and experience in Value-based selling approach are a plus,

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate & influence internal stakeholders from various geographies & cultures,

  • Ability to work & collaborate with different departments and to develop/manager key relationships.


Based in the Craponne, France or Chicago, IL with a mobility of 30%
