We are looking for a HR Business Partner to cover UK & Ireland for a 1 year fixed term contract. Reporting to the Northern European Cluster HR Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for someone to have full responsibility of HR for the UK & Ireland covering 115 employees, as well as being part of the EME and global HR team. 


What will be your responsibilities at bioMerieux? 

Main accountabilities include : 

  • Employee Relations: Confidently consults and advises managers and employees. Anticipating possible issues and suggesting action plans.

  • Advise and support managers with their teams, organization effectiveness, performance management and change management skills.

  • Compensation & Benefits: Advise and support managers on local and global compensation and benefits initiatives, provide expert advice on good practice. Support managers to assist with the management of leavers, disabilities, and Worker’s Compensation. Liaise with Finance Department to ensure payroll runs smoothly.

  • Administration : manage the employee contract, creation, tracking worker (payroll changes, job codes, function, termination, ...) in the HR software.

  • Training: Understand the training/development needs of organization and act as liaison with the Northern Europe HR to secure appropriate training. Ensure the competencies needed by the employees to support the evolution of the business including introduction and initial training for new starters

  • Recruitment: main contact for the UK and Ireland recruitment from interview to induction.

  • HR Reporting : Track and report staffing, retention, attrition, and other necessary data to monitoring the HR data against budget and build strategy with the Northern Europe HR .

  • Promote and develop employee engaement. 

  • Contribute to the improvement of HR policies and participate to local, cluster and regional projects


Who are you?

You must be

  • CIPD qualified (ideally MCIPD or FCIPD)

  • Excellent technical HR knowledge through generalist and HRBP experience

  • Several years experience as a HR generalist

  • Good knowledge of employment law UK/ Ireland

  • Strong interpersonal communications skills, including influencing and ability to encourage innovation.

  • Able to act and decide responsible with respect to the company strategy

  • Ability to advise where appropriate to help employees grow and develop in alignment with business and personal goals.

  • Knowledge of H&S would be desirable
