The Supply Chain Performance department is accountable, at the corporate and local levels, for the robustness and efficiency of Supply Chain processes. The department drives Supply Chain transformation through a roadmap of projects worldwide with the constant objective of improving customer satisfaction. The team is also accountable for documenting and sharing best practices, delivering and maintaining relevant KPIs to measure and improve the overall Supply Chain performance of the company. Within the Supply Chain Performance department, the Transport & Distribution team is accountable for projects and processes related to transport and warehousing activities. One of our challenges is to continuously optimize our distribution network and adapt it to a changing business environment and new customer requirements. Our team is playing a key role in the transformation of this distribution network, starting from the network design until the implementation of the projects with our logistics partners.

 

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Logistics Project Manager to reinforce the Transport & Distribution domain and take the accountability of the successful transformation of our distribution network in the United States. This project will be the opportunity to reinforce our service reliability, to reengineer our logistics processes and to offer new services to our customers. It will significantly optimize our product flows efficiency and imply changes in our planning strategy, different transfers of warehousing activities to new locations and potential collaboration with new 3PL suppliers, with the need to interface their systems with ours.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Logistics Project Manager, you will play a lead role and be accountable for the following missions:

  • Manage the relationship with the project teams from external partners like 3PL, carriers and brokers.
  • Act as the main interface with all involved local US bioMérieux functions within Supply Chain (Logistics, Planning, etc) and in other departments (Manufacturing sites, Quality, Sales, Customer Service, etc).
  • Take the functional lead on project deliverables related to Transportation, Logistics and Customs: process design, tools specifications, interface requirements and testing.
  • Coordinate and follow up on local project actions throughout the project lifecycle: business requirement specifications, process & solution design, data management, solution testing and training, cutover and go live.
  • Lead the change management locally in the US by actively communicating about the project health, capturing and addressing requirements, concerns and questions in all US impacted teams (Commercial, Service, Legal, etc)
  • Lead the project governance by structuring your core team and all stakeholders needed for the success of the project. Setup the project routine and steer the overall strategy and planning.
  • Define and implement the cutover and hypercare strategy and ensure a smooth handover to the operational post go live.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain activities, ideally with a role of Logistics Project Manager in an international context.
  • Experience with Warehouse and Transportation processes, outsourced to 3PL partners, and demonstrated experience in similar projects of significant dimension.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills necessary to lead projects and manage change successfully.
  • Strong capacity to work in team.
