Our Africa Region is looking for a Marketing Lead for its Egypt’s office, based in Cairo, who will achieve the territory sales budget (sales, margin, contribution) driving successfully the implementation of bioMérieux commercial operations strategy and optimize the sales performance by developing the sales team competences & challenging the sales organization. The Successful candidate will report to the General Manager of BioMérieux Egypt.

 

What will be your mission?

  •  Marketing strategies and action plans, to improve the sales on Instruments / Reagents for clinical product range.
  • Achieving market share, sales, profit, and growth objectives for new products and strengthen for former ones.
  • Develop local MAPs for relevant products.
  • Ensure MAPs contain local market assessment, target segments, SWOT, value proposition, pricing strategy, promotion strategy, sales goals, etc.
  • Pre-testing & refining selling tools and techniques.
  • Implement MAPs, working closely with local sales teams / Application Specialists.
  • Execute product Launches and Lead generation activities. Includes internal sales training, customer events & interaction, continual review and improvement of selling tools and techniques.
  • Be the local marketing contact for the Africa regional team
  • Measure market shares, sales, & profitability
  • Provide technical and marketing training to the sales team
  • Build network with key opinion leaders.
  • Set up communication program for the physicians and patients.
  • Supporting other functions:
    • Forecasting & Allocation – close work with Supply Chain
    • Inventory levels – both minimum & maximum
    • Drive continuous improvement of products, processes, and resources.
    • Solicit feedback from sales, customers on product acceptance, issues.
  • Implement changes as needed to sales tools & techniques and marketing strategy.
  • Tender Submissions
    • Project manage tender submissions
    • Accountable for the continuous improvement of our success rate in tenders
  •    Local visits to customers and decision makers.
  •   Acquire a good knowledge and understanding of the needs of customers
  •   Actively participate in setting sales targets for the nominated product range(s), and update YE forecasts.
  •   Identify the need of internal product & sales training for the nominated product range(s).

 

Who are you?

 

  • Demonstrate high levels of rigor & accuracy in data analysis
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of all key marketing principles.
  • Use good oral and written communication & presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate good influencing skills with sales staff, customers.
  • Demonstrate understanding of financial metrics for product profitability analysis, pricing strategy analysis, etc.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of bMx and competitive products, and related science / technology.
  • Demonstrate understanding of medical context, typical diagnostic practices and key clinician challenges.
  • Demonstrate some understanding of the sales process including qualifying leads, overcoming objections and presenting a compelling value proposition with meaning to the customer.
  • Computer literacy and ability with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in science or laboratory technology
  • Previous AS, Sales, or Marketing experience of min 5 years
  • Background experience in the designated product range of responsibility.​​​​​​​

  • Work well and cooperatively with others at all levels (e.g. senior management, peer, assistant) and in a variety of roles (e.g. team leader, team member, regionally and locally)
