Africa is a dynamic region with identified high growth potential, especially in South Africa. The primary purpose and overall objective of the job is be accountable and responsible to achieve the annual clinical sales budget (sales, margin, contribution) by successfully implementing bioMérieux’s Commercial strategy through a highly trained and engaged Team.
What will your Mission be?
Strategic leadership of a Team of lab reps, MSL’s (clinician reps) and marketing (marketing manager & Product manager); Development of Team (recruit, onboard, train, coach, talent retention, performance management) to grow talent density.
Lead the annual clinical Marketing & Sales budget process, as well as the Long Range Plan, demonstrating vision and ambition in growing the bioMerieux business across all product portfolios through innovation and speedy implementation
Implement the company Commercial Operations strategy to achieve sales, revenue & profit targets annually
Accountable and responsible to ensure margin and profit evolution, with ability to negotiate ASP increases with C-Suite
Ensure strong marketing launch plans are in place
Ensure SLA’s are in place with all customers; Contract management (install base consumption)
Strong collaboration and partnership with peers (customer service, quality, finance, medical, supply chain, HR, Global marketing, etc)
Responsibility for preparation of Tenders & Proposals
Preparation on monthly reviews for Region, sales forecasts (LBE’s), territory performance by rep; Ensure Team have a strong pipeline of opportunities
Prepare and execute sales & marketing meetings with the Sales team to ensure business goals are achieved.
Manage national lab chains; Build strong relationships with lab chain C-Suite and Clinician KOL’s.
Ensure CRM and Company tools are efficiently utilized
Be responsible for ensuring all quality process & risks in sales & marketing are understood and followed by staff, and reviewed / updated.
Occasional weekend and after-hours travel / work may be required
