What are we talking about ?

bioMérieux Global Information Systems is an international and transversal organization responsible for supporting bioMérieux in its development and digital transformation.

And what could be more transversal than Finance? The Finance IS team is involved in many processes within the company and, is indeed, a key lever to achieve most of bioMérieux’s goals.

The North America Finance Purchasing Legal & IP team is made up of around ten professionals, employees and subcontractors, who contribute to projects and ensure the maintenance of Finance solutions, guaranteeing a high level of quality and service to our internal clients.

To lead this successful team, we are recruiting a leader who will pursue the continuous improvement of their operational excellence. This position reports directly to the IS VP in charge of Finance, Purchasing and Legal processes.

As the global portfolio of activities will be shared and distributed between the EMEA and the North America teams, the two domain managers will work hand in hand to address the full scope of expected deliveries and services.

 

What does a North America IS Domain Manager do?

Primary responsibility of the domain manager is to manage the alignment between the team's workload, skills and knowledge with project demands and maintenance commitments. This will be managed in a very close collaboration with the EMEA domain manager to ensure the most effective delivery model on all activities the domain is in charge of.

Will work closely with stakeholders including IS VPs, program managers, project managers and end users at all levels of the company.

To build the best possible team, domain manager is responsible for recruiting and sourcing talent as well as developing team members in terms of technical, technological and behavioral skills.

Participates in human resources management processes. for interns

Participates in the implementation of partnership relationships with preferred suppliers.

Fosters a positive team spirit by instilling momentum within organizations and among resources and provides a clear vision and goals for his / her field to support team engagement.

Responsible for the quality, availability and scalability of Finance solutions in production. In addition, domain manager ensures that projects provide solutions that allow us to achieve expected maintainability goals. To ensure the consistency of the finance solutions landscape, domain manager anticipates obsolescence and ensures that the application portfolio is up to date and aligned with enterprise architecture guidelines.

Defines and defends the annual budget for maintenance activities in the Finance sector, leads its execution and regularly presents a status report on the results and forecast.

 

Who is the North America IS domain manager?

Previous experience in information systems, including involvement in IS related projects, application maintenance activities and the implementation / deployment of IT solutions.

Possesses knowledge of Finance business practice and understands budget, management control, accounting or tax processes and associated terminology.

Previous experience in the implementation and integration of SAP is required (bioMérieux significantly utilizes SAP to execute Finance related processes and transactions). Technical and functional skills will not be sufficient to fully satisfy the requirements of this position; a demonstrated ability to communicate, to act with courage, to show emotional intelligence, to facilitate collaboration in the entire organization and to effectively support team members is critical in role  In short - the IS domain manager is a leader.

As the team and the company are international, fluent English is required.
