What will be your responsibilities at bioMérieux?


We currently have a vacancy within our Field Application Specialist clinical team to be based in the North of England or Scotland to cover the territory of North UK & Scotland. You will be part of a team so not solely covering this territory on your own. 


As a Field Application Specialist you will be providing technical support, demonstrations, training, and troubleshooting for automated laboratory equipment, consumables, and manual product ranges either onsite or at bioMérieux training facilities.


Reporting to the Field Application Specialist manager, you will ensure effective customer coverage within the North of England and Scotland and across other territories as required, by accurate identification of customer needs, efficient planning and placing relevant priority on visits.  This is a great opportunity to be in a customer facing role, visiting a variety of labs and working on a range of bioMérieux products. 


Who are you? 

The ideal candidate must have previous medical diagnostic experience and knowledge of bioMérieux equipment is essential as well as:


  • Educated to degree level in life science subjects.

  • Good core knowledge of current bacteriology and virology methods and techniques

  • Good time management skills

  • Microbiology laboratory experience is essential 

  • Experience of training desirable

  • Strong antibiotic sensitivity background desirable

  • IT proficient


In addition, the ideal candidate will be confident, adaptable, self-motivated, analytical, and able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, with excellent communication and administration skills with good knowledge of UK Labs. Full training is offered along with a chance to work with a great team and develop within the Company.


This is a field based role with 80% travel so a car or car allowance is provided along with pension, insurances and a bonus scheme.
