You will join as Legal Manager in charge of bioMérieux’s group Corporate Law department, within bioMérieux Legal & Corporate Integrity organization.


Your main responsibilities will be to :


  • Support and manage all bioMérieux Group corporate Law activities, including corporate secretary & legal governance activities as a SBF120 listed group (URD ; board / shareholder meetings) ;  intra-companies agreement ; group insurance policies ; corporate financing in close coordination with Finance & Tax teams ;
  • Support and manage Legal support to Corporate global functions such as HR & Communication ; Finance ; Manufacturing / Real Estate for drafting and reviewing third party agreements (e.g. consulting ; services agreements) in close coordination with Procurement team ;
  • Support and manage Data privacy / GDPR related legal activities, in close coordination with bioMérieux’s Data Privacy Officer and Data Privacy teams (Legal review of GDPR framework evolutions ; drafting, review of  related DP processes, clauses & agreements) ;
  • Manage a team of two in-house Corporate Legal Counsels and two paralegals based in Marcy L’Etoile near lyon, as well as a pool of outside counsels and in house trainees ;
  • Define department objectives, propose new rules and tools to improve team, department or broader organization efficiencies ; train bioMérieux internal stakeholders on relevant processes & risks ;
  • Prepare, manage and report on your department budget ; establish & report on key indicators / activities for your department ;
  • Contribute to and/or lead key bioMérieux’s transversal initiatives relevant to your field of responsibility ;
  • Develop strong network with regional General counsels, key Corporate global Functions contributors, and key internal stakeholders relevant to your field of responsibility ;


Who are you?


  • Master II degree in Law from accredited UE University / Business School, ideally complemented by a bar exam,  LL.M. or additional diploma from accredited business school (MBA program or Mastère Spécialisé).
  • 7 years + of relevant practice / experience in a reputable law firm, or Corporate Law department of a publicly traded company, with significant exposure in handling complex Corporate Law matters in a publicly traded environment
  • Strong solution oriented mindset and ability to understand complex operational & legal stakes and “translate” them into sound & actionable advice
  • Strong communication skills and ability to establish interpersonal credibility & effective networking with Senior Leadership (VPs ; C-Suite ; Board)
  • Team spirit / team player, hands on and can deo attitud
  • Fluent French & English
