Primary Purpose and Overall Objectives of the Role:
Be responsible and accountable for leading the Medical Educational and Training activities in the ASPAC region including:
- Contribute to the development of medical education activities addressing Healthcare Professionals’ educational needs and expectations
- Involve in the review of internal medical trainings and in the coordination and measurement of all medical education and training activities
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional colleagues in a highly matrixed environment for the implementation of the medical education activities
Main Accountabilities
- Contribute to the identification and development of high quality Medical Education and Training activities, working collaboratively with team members to define educational objectives and approach
- Provide scientific expertise and coordinate digital development with external agencies if applicable
- Develop relationships with KOLs and Experts for engagement in medical trainings and/or medical education activities and work in close collaboration with external organization and medical societies
- Participate in cross-functional meetings, including marketing brand plan and provide input on medical education and training needs and planned activities
- Review scientific accuracy of internal medical training content and other educational resources
- Compile Medical Education & Training metrics from all regions on a quarterly basis and communicate them to Global Medical Affairs and all relevant internal stakeholders.
- Perform all work in compliance with company policy and guidelines, and ensure that Medical Education and Training activities are in alignment with CME rules and regulations
- Contribute to activities related to public health such as the Fleming fund
- Lead and execute all AMR-AMS related activities in the ASPAC region
- External collaboration with medical societies / organizations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Hold a master degree or above in life science (such as microbiology, molecular biology or infectious disease)
- Experience with conducting medical affairs related activities and delivering medical education/training, studies management/project management
- Understand and present data, as appropriate and have a strong interest in medical education activities, adult learning principles
- Demonstrate creativity in developing innovative learning approaches
- Good knowledge of hospital/clinical/medical environments
- Natural interest in new technologies and digital competencies
- Pro-active attitude and able to take initiatives with solution-oriented mind set
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
- Cooperative and team-player mind set
