Mechanical Engineer

 

The Mechanical Engineer work inside R&D System Development – EU Hardware department; Mechanical Engineer is involved in mechanical & industrialization design activities for the development of  new products and for the maintenance of launched products.

Mechanical Engineer can evaluate the right technology to produce components with the right level of quality and at the right cost.

Mechanical Engineer can contribute to the selection of HW architectural solutions.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Contribution in feasibility activities for new applications and in the definition of system/sub-assembly mechanical architecture
  • Design and industrialization of mechanical instrument/sub-assembling /components
  • Management of external partners
  • Assembling of instrument/subassemblies prototypes.
  • Estimation of component cost and related investment cost in relation with the potential manufacturing technology used.
  • Setup and programming of standard CNC (milling and turning machining) for realization of mechanical prototype components.

 

 

TYPICAL STUDIES – EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3/5 years University degree as Mechanical Eng.; experience as mechanical designer are welcome
  • Knowledge of technological process for manufacturing of mechanical components (moulds, tool machines, surface finishing, painting);
  • Computer skills: use of specific software for mech. Design: Solidworks or Creo , optional Windchill PLM
  • Manage the activities according the priorities of the company.
  • Team work ability
