North Europe consists of two commercial clusters for Clinical operations :  UK/Ireland and Benelux/Nordics, each of them managed by a Cluster VP, and is one cluster for Industry operations. The combined turnover is ~200M€/year.

 

This position will be based in Basingstoke and reports operationally to the UK/Ireland Cluster VP and functionally to the EMEA Supply Chain VP. 

 

As the North Europe Supply Chain Manager you will be have 2 levels of responsibility :

  • Overall management of the North Europe Supply Chain organization across Basingstoke (UK), Brussels (BE), Copenhagen (DK) and Gothenburg (SE) (with the help of a manager of BENELUX/NORDICS located in Brussels)
  • Direct management of the [UK/I] supply chain team and operations (UK&I Demand, Customer Supply, Logistics, Equipment) located in Basingstoke UK.
     

What will your responsibilities be within bioMérieux?

  • Ensure customer service level promises and logistics costs with the clusters VP’s & EMEA Supply Chain VP
  • In accordance with the Clusters Executive Committee and the EMEA Supply Chain VP, lead the Clusters Order Policy management and Supply Service Offer strategy, deployment and operational management.
  • Is the NEC Industry business partner
  • He/she is a member of the UK/IRELAND Cluster and the BENELUX/NORDICS Executive Committees (that he will delegate to the BENELUX/NORDICS Supply Chain Manager).
  • Control supply chain activities including import from France, Australia and United States, order entry, inventory management, distribution & logistics, customer communication & logistic complaints as well as Master Data.
  • Lead Cluster’s monthly demand management and Sales &Operational Planning meetings
  • Control/Steer logistics operations for secondary network level (warehousing and transportation); provide technical support (safety, regulatory and quality policies;) and manage 3PL relationship and contracts.
  • Provide input, approve and monitor Service Level Agreement of his/her Clusters, and steer replenishment on local inventory products.
  • In alignment with the regional guidelines and sharing best practices with other Clusters in EME-A, he/she continuously improves and harmonizes processes and supply chain performance and team skills.
  • Lead the Cluster supply chain teams, manage and monitor team's workload and performance (~20 people across the three areas).
  • Define objectives, methods and skills needed, in compliance with all applicable regulations, relying on the local teams and knowledgeable resources.


Who are you?

Studies and Experience:

  • Master’s degree ideally with specialization in supply chain.
  • Proven success for 9+ years in end to end supply chain roles in international complex environments.
  • Demonstrated previous experience in remote management in an intercultural context
  • Experience in sales administration, customer promise and service level monitoring
  • Strong knowledge in demand management (SAP), sales administration and logistics (warehousing and transportation), strong negotiator
  • Pharma or In Vitro Diagnostics knowledge & refrigerated transportation/short-shelf-life products management are a plus.
