Position Summary:
Provide technical support, training, troubleshooting, and consultation to internal and external customers for the diagnostic test systems marketed by bioMérieux.
Responsibilities:
- Answer internal and external customer inquiries per established guideline and document in ERP system; consult as appropriate with Application Specialist, System Engineer, Management, Global Customer Support and Lab IT Specialist
- Develop problem solving and troubleshooting skills for remote / phone support
- Obtain ERP certification; execute investigation process and apply as needed
- Learn bioMérieux products and procedures that are job specific, and assist with implementation of new products
- Provide consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators
- Perform on-call duties as needed to provide 24-hour technical support to customers
- Participate in revenue generation initiatives through promotion of value added projects and services
Studies and Experience:
- Associate or Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences or related Field
- Minimum of three years of laboratory experience preferablyin a microbiology setting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with bioMérieux products (VITEK, VITEK MS, VITURO, BacT, Molecular Products preferred)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
