We are looking for a Field IT Specialist

Location: homebased in Poland

Are you an IT Specialist eager to play a key role improving our overall offer for our customers?

As one of our Field IT specialists you will be building the foundations of a healthy and robust IT infrastructure in our customers’ laboratories, by deploying, integrating, maintaining, updating our customer systems, and contributing to establishing a customer's high level of satisfaction.

What will your responsibilities be within bioMérieux?

Integrate our solutions in the customer environment:

• Audit existing customer IT infrastructure. Consult with customer and with our own sales organization on the solution design, network requirements, security set-up.
• Install and configure our solution software on physical or virtual infrastructure.
• Connect our instruments and software with each other, and with the customer Laboratory Information Systems
• Validate and qualify the data flow between all components.
• Document the architecture and report on the installation project.

Support the customer post-deployment:

• Install our remote service solution.
• Diagnose, fix, update systems remotely or on site.
• Act as customer focal point for IT & integration problem resolution
• Work closely with our global Level 2 service organization to escalate important issues and for continuous learning and improvement.

Who are you?

• IT Bachelor or Master in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical field
• A minimum of 2 years of working experience in Information Technology are a must
• Strong background in IT technologies, including network, databases, middleware, interfaces, application integration, security.
• Master network architecture and networking platforms configuration  (IP / Subnets / Gateway / routing / Firewall / VLAN / …)
• Experience in Windows Client, Server, Linux installation and maintenance in physical and in virtual machines.
• First-hand technical project management and customer consulting experience
• Experience in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and/or In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) is a plus: understand a diagnostic laboratory workflow, analyzers connections, diagnostic data
• You want the best for the customer for whom you use your ability to analyze, recommend, and challenge proposals to create the most effective solutions
• In your daily work, you need to be able to deliver clear messages, to organize yourself and to multi-task
• You are happy in a moving and challenging environment with an individual travel time of up to 70% of your time
• You need to be fluent in English (oral and written); with your customers you are able to exchange at a professional level in Polish.
