Position Summary:

Contribute to a small, dynamic, medical diagnostic system project team, by assisting the Program Leader (PGML) and Project Leader (PL) with management and coordination of one or more of the projects – specifically the development of a full suite of QC procedures and materials to support system development and manufacturing, with a focus on reagent development. Works under the direction of the PL for the assigned project(s). Planning and coordinating project scope, time, cost, quality, performance; perform technical writing tasks including creating project documentation, presentations, flow charts, and procedures; support the project by facilitating project logistics such as meetings, minutes and action items and performs follow-up; and assists in development of presentations. This role requires flexibility and an agile mindset.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of the Project Leader by managing specific project(s) of a medical diagnostic system development program.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of the Quality System and procedures.
  • Lead project meetings, provide follow-up documentation including action items, meeting minutes, and key decisions.
  • Prepare and communicate project status, risks, and timeline.
  • Manage project documentation including; requirements, specifications, project plans, full design history files, schedules, and budgets.
  • Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, budgets, and scheduled milestones.
  • Effectively and accurately communicate/report relevant project information to the PGML and PL.
  • Work collaboratively with the project/program team.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete during each development phase.
  • Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive attitude.
  • Keep the PL informed about project status and issues that may impact the project.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Implement project activities in adherence with the overall program/project objectives.

 

Studies and Experience:

  • Degree in biosciences; or degree in business, engineering, IT, or equivalent technical field
  • 3-5 years experience in technical field
  • 0-2 years project management experience preferred
  • Medical diagnostic system development experience preferred

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Critical listening skills, and an ability to recognize important and high-level information
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Extensive experience with MS Project
  • Experience with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with MS Visio or similar preferred
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise summaries for PGML and PLs
  • Flexibility and agility to learn new topics quickly and assist where needed
  • Willing to accept and act on feedback
  • Willingness and ability to interact effectively and harmoniously with other people
  • Self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively
