Transportation & Inventory Intern needed to support the BioMérieux US Supply Chain team in Salt Lake City, UT (40% remote – 60% on site).

The Big Picture

• This position report to the Head of US Supply Chain. It will support the US Supply Chain team while working on all aspects of the Supply Chain (Replenishment, Inventory management, Distribution, Transport, Master Data, Reporting).

What You’ll Be Doing:

• This role will hvae some routine activities to reoccur over time, which may include:
  • Inventory:
    • Control the local inventory and challenge the global VMI team to ensure appropriate level based on SS, demand & forecasts;
    • Performs replenishment and stock management on local flows;
    • Follow-up & alert if needed the central teams in charge of global replenishment for global flows;
  • Transportation
    • Monitor & support the domestic transportation activities with our 3PL carriers;
    • Drive transportation continuous improvement to improve the customer satisfaction as well as the freights costs
    • Support the reverse flow processes of our Equipments
  • Support the team on performance monitoring thanks to dashboard setup & update;
• An important part of the job will be on projects. It may include:
  • Building of appropriate dashboard to monitor the inventory management performance.
  • Create procedure & guidelines for the US SC processes
  • Participate to the US SC projects (network transformation, transport management, ...).

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Program requirements:
  • Students currently enrolled in a degree program at a recognized institution of higher learning, have reahced Sophomore level status or later in school, and have a minimum of 3.0 GPA or above.
  • It is recommended that each internship last a minimum of 8 weeks.
• Interest in Supply Chain in general and more specificatlly for inventory management & distribution/transport.
• Should have advanced Excel & PowerPoint. Proficient in Word, Outlook.
• Reliability, flexibility & able to prioritize.
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
• Sense of ownership, rigorous.
• Analytical and Business mindset.
• Basic knowledge of SAP or Tableau is a plus.
