Job Summary
Assists the field sales team within a defined territory with Lead Generation, Prospect Sales Qualification, and Post-Sale Account Management for growing and protecting our business. Performs sales activities via telephone and email to both current customers and prospects to educate medical staff on the benefits of bioMerieux's and BioFire’s product offerings.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of the Quality System.
Conduct cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients.
Articulate the syndromic testing value proposition to customers and prospects.
Research accounts, identify key players and generate interested leads and provides product demonstrations.
Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support.
Work with the field team to develop a sales strategy for the defined region.
Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients.
Maintaining database (Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information.
Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate field sales for further development and closure.
Complete assigned work to achieve quarterly quotas as defined in commission plan.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Training and Education
High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Accounting, Marketing or related field strongly preferred.
Experience
Minimum of one year of sales or sales related experience required. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas preferred. Proven lead generation sales experience preferred. Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems preferred. Previous experience in a professional laboratory environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; which are necessary to effectively and clearly communicate BioFire’s value proposition
Must have the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers and dial dozens of calls per day
Excellent phone presence, mature and pleasant telephone demeanor

Effective listening and presentation skills
Possesses an energetic, engaging, and friendly demeanor

Physical Requirements
Minimal travel may be required.
