We are seeking an Sales Manager UK/Ireland to join our Industry team!


Reporting to the Northern Europe Industry Director, this position will be based in the UK (ideally South East area) with approximately 30% travel between the UK and Ireland.
 

What will your responsibilities be within bioMérieux ?

The Industry Sales Manager (UK/Ireland) will be responsible for driving and supporting growth, market share and customer satisfaction in the UK/Ireland market and ultimately will bring bioMérieux to a higher level.  This position is also responsible for coordinating, motivating and managing the sales force organization to assure that each Sales Rep reaches their fixed objectives in their respective territories, thus driving company performance.  


Main accountabilities include:

  • Manage, motivate and develop team members for optimal performances in line with sales & marketing strategy and company values.
  • Realization of sales budget, market share and profitability indicators within the setting of the corporate strategy and the quality guidelines,
  • Act as an ambassador for bioMérieux towards the team and towards clients,
  • Manage budget, launch & sales forecasting process together with Marketing manager
  • Monthly reporting on business indicators towards general management & corporate, using Sales Force dashboards are main driver
  • Develop a network with Key Opinion Leaders and Key customers.
  • Field activities on regular basis, to support sales and understand the needs of the clients
  • Optimize the sales organization permanently in order to be able to execute the strategy in the most efficient way, based on CVM inputs and Value selling.

 

Who are you?

Studies and Experience:

  • Bachelor or Masters in a scientific field, ideally microbiology or biology
  • Strong background in both Scientific and Marketing Sales, with good knowledge and understanding of the Industry market and their needs

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Management & coaching skills, customer sales process oriented and deadline focus
  • Emotional intelligence and team player,
  • Analytical thinking, result oriented, organization & planning skills
  • Demonstrate leadership through influence and actively promote knowledge sharing with local teams
  • Multicultural and autonomous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for negotiation working out a profitability scheme for the company and the customers
  • Ability to develop and manage key relationships with customers, KOL and Top management
  • Knowledge of MS Office
